It never fills you with joy to see people on the streets, hunting for food. But it's good to see some of them retain a certain sense of humour.

Belgrade

The drive from Bucharest to Zadar took us 22 hours, so on our return journey we decided to make a stop off in Belgrade and catch up with some friends. In the evening we went to a bar that was apparently Tito's drinking hang out. It was full to the rafters with Communist memorabilia and frequented by rowdy patriotic young serbs (mostly guys) getting drunk and singing songs.
