Get Loaded at CERF
CERF is a consumer electronics show with a bias towards communications and telecoms. Its exhibitors making their presence known were the usual, Vodaphone, Orange, Playstation/Sony, and Romania's own RomTelecom and Cosmote. They were surrounded by a sprawling chaos of smaller contendors showing computers, things that make computers better, things that make computers faster, and some souless replicants watching the world go by not selling any of their brilliant clips that hold wires to walls. These stalls gave away balloons and twiglets while the big boys attracted the crowds with formula one racing cars, free ipods, real Romanian pop stars and lots of promotion girls wearing very badly designed 'sexy' outfits.
Get Loaded was there, squeezed inbetween it all on the ClickNet side of the RomTelecom stand. ClickNet were giving it their official launch and we were their to spice up proceedings with Party Paul and stand up comedian Bobo. Everyone put in a great performance with Paul trying his hand at geek chic, meeting his nerdy doppleganger, then dropping the act in favour of the girls and their outfits.
